Georgia, when he spotted a competitor who fell down nearly 200 yards short of
the finish line.?He rushed to Robert McCoys aid, helping him finish a half
marathon. This year, McCoy was able to finish the half marathon on his own, but
Cain still was waiting for him at the finish line.?I went over to help render
aid and he kept saying, Ive got to finish the race, Cain said. I asked him if he
wanted me to help him and he said yes.I put my arm around his shoulder and back.
I could feel in my heart that he needed to finish; there was a purpose for him
doing so, and he wanted to accomplish the goal. I am just glad I was in a
position to help him do that. He is an inspiration to me. He is the hero in this
story.As a thank you for his help in 2015, McCoy gave Cain his medal.
