LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Kansas coach Bill Self and Nebraska coach Tim Miles exchanged a few humorous words after the third-ranked Jayhawks rolled to an 89-72 victory over their former Big 12 foe on Saturday.Turns out Miles was giving him a little jab.Come on, what do you have to complain about? Nothing, Miles said, recalling their light-hearted conversation. Sorry, the cheerleaders little thing on their pompom fell on the floor. You got it tough.Indeed, Self had just spent most of the afternoon riding the officials and riding his players.Basically, spoiling for a fight. But from Miles perspective, there wasnt much reason: The Jayhawks made it look easy.I thought the first half we were really good, we were really solid. The second half we werent, Self said. We didnt guard anybody, but the first half was good, so well dwell on the positive.Thats what I always choose to do, he added with a wry grin, dwell on the positive.Frank Mason III had 18 points and seven assists without a turnover. Josh Jackson had 17 points and Svi Mykhailiuk added 15. Devonte Graham scored 14 and kept everybody calm. Landen Lucas was 5 for 5 from the field and finished with 12 points to give Kansas (9-1) an inside presence. The result was a blowout despite the absence of forward Carlton Bragg Jr., who is suspended following his arrest Friday for misdemeanor battery. The part-time starter spent the game in street clothes.I dont know anything more than I knew yesterday, which is very little, Self said. Its not anything thats worth commenting on because theres no decisions to be made as far as finality goes until you hear what transpired, and certainly Im sure people are trying to figure it out.Tai Webster led Nebraska (5-5) with 22 points. Ed Morrow Jr. finished with 16.Yeah, it was rough, Webster said, a tough environment to come into. The crowd is nothing like weve seen before, but theyre good at what they do. They pressure you full-court, every time you take it out, and theyre relentless. Theyre tough. The Jayhawks rolled to a 54-34 halftime lead, but things started to go haywire after the break. They missed eight of their first 11 free throws in the second half, allowing Nebraska to claw back into the game. What really set Self off, though, came with about 12 minutes left, when Mykhailiuk tracked down a loose ball and tried to throw an alley-oop pass to Jackson off the glass. Jacksons dunk hit the rim and sprung into the air -- and sent Self springing from his seat with an R-rated roar.Asked who earned the brunt for it, Jackson or Mykhailiuk, Lucas chimed in: Everybody on the court. It was Jackson who responded, though. He scored the next two baskets, then converted an emphatic jam, as the Jayhawks pushed their lead back to 20 and coasted the rest of the way.Thats a fast team, a skilled team, a powerful team. They can get you a lot of ways, Miles said. I was really proud of our guys. I thought the second half we showed some toughness, some resiliency to at least claw back and make it uneasy on them.BIG PICTURENebraska has lost five of six, including a blowout loss to No. 10 Creighton. The only win for Miles struggling team during that stretch came against South Dakota.Kansas finished 14 of 25 from the free throw line, continuing a troubling trend. Jackson was 3 of 8, while Udoka Azubuike clanked three of his four attempts off the rim.BRAGG BENCHEDThe Jayhawks sophomore forward pleaded not guilty to a charge of misdemeanor battery after allegedly pushing his girlfriend down a flight of stairs. Bragg had appeared in their first nine games, starting five of them, and is averaging 7.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 16 minutes.I think one reason why in the first half we were more focused was because of it. I dont know, Self said. But they seemed to be pretty focused in the first half, but it was a distraction, and with teams and throughout seasons, theres going to be different things come up.UP NEXTNebraska returns home to play Gardner-Webb on Dec. 18.Kansas plays Davidson on Dec. 17 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.---More AP college basketball: and Derek Carr Jersey . Peter Holland and Brad Staubitz were sent to Toronto on Saturday as the Maple Leafs traded defenceman Jesse Blacker and draft picks to the Anaheim Ducks. Ted Hendricks Youth Jersey . After a first half in which he thought "the lid was on the basket," the Toronto Raptors coach watched his squad mount a second half surge to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers 98-91. . Carey Price didnt, but he still came out on top against one of his rivals for the No. 1 job at the Sochi Games. The Anahim Lake, B.C., native was stellar in making 39 saves in his home province and Lars Eller got credit for a bizarre short-handed winner as the Canadiens defeated the Canucks 4-1. Foster Moreau Raiders Jersey . Clarkson had been dealing with an elbow injury in early January and will be out of action for at least one week. Triesman became the FAs first independent chairman back in 2008 before handing over to David Bernstein two years later, with Bernsteins successor Greg Dyke set to step down in the summer.Brooking has a long history with the FA, having joined the body in 2004 as director of football development and being involved in the selection process that ended with Steve McClaren being appointed as England manager. And Triesman feels he would be the ideal man to take over from Dyke, who is not seeking re-election at the end of his three-year term in charge, even though he admits reform within the FA is something that is tough to achieve. West Ham great Brooking has worked for the FA before as director of football development Triesman told Sky Sports News HQ: Trevor is unafraid when he says things and that is important. He is absolutely driven by wanting to see first class and modern coaching, wanting to see youngsters come through. He would probably focus on that to pretty much the exclusion of anything else and that may very well be the single thing that would be most worth doing.I think he could make some dents in that body work. FA chairman Greg Dyke will step down in the summer Triesman says whoever takes on the job will know how tough it can be - he likened it to rolling rocks up a hill and said proper reform could be almost impossible, as Dykee has found out.ddddddddddddHe added: Greg is a man who uses his time wisely, and if he is doing something he will do it very forcefully. But he will want to know the effort he is putting in is making some kind of an impact. Greg Dyke will not seek re-election for another term as FA chairman I think that anybody who has been in that position at the FA, as an independent chairman, will know that it is a body that simply does not reform, and there is a point at which you feel like you are rolling rocks up a hill only for them to roll back down again. The power of the Premier League is absolutely enormous, supreme in English football. That leaves the FA with a very much more marginal role, including in the regulation of the game.
