Warriors NRL prop Charlie Gubb has been hit with a seven-week suspension after unsuccessfully challenging the grading of his shoulder charge on Manlys Darcy Lussick.He was cited for the shot at the 13-minute mark of the Warriors loss to Manly on Saturday in Perth.On Wednesday night, Gubb failed in his bid to have the grade-two count downgraded and was found guilty by the judiciary.Greg Bird will miss Gold Coasts clash with Parramatta after taking an early guilty plea on Tuesday for his high tackle on Gareth Widdop.Bird remains the fourth-most suspended player of the NRL-era after pleading guilty early to a grade-two careless high tackle from the Titans win on on Friday night over St George Illawarra.It is the second time Bird has been suspended this season. The former representative player will return for Monday weeks for the round-21 fixture against Cronulla.Newcastles Jake Mamo and Daniel Saifiti will miss Sundays round-20 clash with Cronulla after taking early guilty pleas on their respective match review committee charges.Mamo opted for an early plea on his grade-two dangerous contact charge and Saifiti did likewise on his grade-one shoulder charge.Knights utility Sione Matautia pleaded no contest to a grade-one careless high tackle and took a one-match ban, but he is sidelined for four weeks due to a jaw injury.Also on Tuesday, Penrith forward Lelani Latu took the early guilty plea on a tripping charge, but escaped suspension.
