    his 40th birthday.Drew Lock completed 16 of 26 passes for 268 yards and a
touchdown, and Missouri scored 21 unanswered second-half points in a 28-24
    victory over Arkansas 28-24 on Friday.Missouri (4-8, 2-6 Southeastern
Conference) has faced a number of off-field issues in recent weeks, including
the arrest and suspension of leading rusher Damarea Crockett, and the firing of
defensive line coach Jackie Shipp.Odom discussed the impact of a win following
such circumstances.Im tremendously proud of our seniors and this team to finish
the way that they did, Odom said. We learned a lot about ourselves, we learned a
lot about this team, and Im proud that our seniors were able to walk out of
there with a win against a pretty good football team.Austin Allen led Arkansas
on a 10-play drive on its final possession, but he was hurried on
fourth-and-goal from the 20 and was whistled for intentional grounding. We knew
we werent that far off, Odom said. We knew if we could go execute just to try to
battle to get back in the game a little bit ... just asked them to try to get it
in the fourth. If we could do that, then you dont know whats going to
happen.JMon Moore caught six passes for 135 yards, becoming the only 1,000-yard
receiver this season for Missouri. Moore was also credited with a rushing
touchdown after picking up a ball that running back Ish Witter dropped prior to
crossing the goal line.Witter had just five carries for 12 yards, but an early
injury gave way to Nate Strong as the primary ball carrier. Strong finished with
17 carries for 52 yards and two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score with
12:48 remaining.Allen was 24 of 39 for 348 yards with one touchdown and two
interceptions for Arkansas (7-5, 3-5). Drew Morgan had six catches for 54 yards,
and Keon Hatcher caught three passes for 105 yards.I think the thing that was
very, very obvious was the tale of two halves, Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said.
We didnt match the intensity that we needed to in the second half to get this
win.Arkansas took a 7-0 lead in the first minute after a 66-yard gain on the
first play from scrimmage set up a 1-yard touchdown by Rawleigh Williams. By
halftime, the Razorbacks led 24-7 and had outgained Missouri by nearly 200
yards.SENIOR DAYMissouri honored 17 seniors during pre-game ceremonies,
including cornerback Aarion Penton, who had six tackles, two pass breakups and
an interception in the end zone with 4:02 seconds remaining.Linebacker Donavin
Newsom, normally No. 25, wore No. 30 in honor of linebacker Michael Scherer, who
led the Tigers in tackles before suffering a season-ending knee injury in a
51-45 loss to Middle Tennessee Oct. 22. Newsom added two tackles, one sack and a
pass deflection.TAKEAWAYSArkansas: In the first half, Williams rushed 12 times
for 68 yards and a touchdown, and Whaley had eight carries for 54 yards and a
score. In the second half, the two were held to 49 yards. After converting 7 of
10 third-down attempts in the first half, the Razorbacks were 2 of 7 on third
down in the second half.Missouri: The Tigers struggled defensively in the first
half, surrendering 318 total yards. In the second half, Missouri had six tackles
for a loss and forced two interceptions in the red zone, one of which set up a
touchdown. The Tigers finished with 11 tackles for loss and four sacks.UP
NEXTArkansas will await bowl selection, marking the third consecutive season the
Razorbacks have attained bowl eligibility. They defeated Kansas State 45-23 in
the 2016 Liberty Bowl on Jan. 2.Missouris 2016 season is over.

. What general manager Dave Nonis called "short and
productive" negotiations ended with Kessel signing a US$64-million, eight-year
contract on Tuesday. INDIANAPOLIS -- Detroit Lions kicker Matt Prater just
wanted a second chance Sunday.Matthew Stafford ensured he got it -- and Prater
delivered with a 43-yard field goal that gave the Lions a wild 39-35 victory at
Indianapolis.Just four minutes earlier, after Stafford had broken a 28-28 tie
with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Theo Riddick, Prater pushed the extra point
wide right. So it was 34-28, opening the door for Colts quarterback Andrew Luck
to pull off another comeback.Instead, Prater got a shot at redemption and the
Lions never doubted him.To see him bounce back is huge, coach Jim Caldwell said.
When you miss like that, the second one can be difficult. But he has an unusual
focusing ability.Stafford played brilliantly, going 31 of 39 for 340 yards with
three touchdowns and no interceptions.Somehow, Luck nearly rallied the Colts
from an 18-point deficit to another last-minute victory when he threw a 6-yard
TD pass to Jack Doyle with 37 seconds to go. It rekindled memories of the
winning TD pass he threw at Detroit four years ago.Adam Vinatieris extra point
gave Indy a 35-34 lead. But against Indys depleted secondary, Stafford found
receivers who turned short catches into big gains. Four plays later, Prater got
his chance, and he hit it right. We made a lot of plays, and we just ran out of
gas (on defense), Colts coach Chuck Pagano said. We just couldnt make that one
more play that we needed to make.Indy was called for a safety on the final play
of the game, for throwing an illegal forward pass in its end zone.LUCKS RETURN:
In Lucks first meaningful game in more than 10 months, he started slowly and
finished strong, as he usually does.Luck wound up 31 of 47 for 385 yards with
four touchdowns and had no turnovers -- a stark contrast to his mistake-prone
ways during an injury-riddled 2015 season.KEY NUMBERS: Detroit averaged a
league-low 83.4 yards rushing per game in 2015 but had 87 at halftime and
finished with 116.Frank Gore rushed 14 times for 59 yards, but the Colts
extended their streakk of consecutive games without a 100-yard rusher to
51.dddddddddddd.SLOW START: Indianapolis spent the offseason looking for ways to
start faster. The results didnt match the effort. Indy trailed 14-0 before Luck
finally got in sync by finishing the first half with two scoring drives to make
it 21-10.OLYMPIC MOMENT: For the second straight day, Olympic gold medalist
Lilly King received the loudest ovation of the Indiana contingent that competed
at the Rio Olympics. On Saturday, Indiana University honored the Hoosiers who
competed between the first and second quarters. On Sunday, the reaction was the
same at halftime of Lions-Colts.INJURY REPORT: Detroit running back Theo Riddick
left for a while to undergo the concussion protocol, but returned late in the
game after being cleared.Indy had three defenders go down on one series late in
the first half: safety T.J. Green (sprained knee), cornerback Patrick Robinson
(concussion), and linebacker Sio Moore. Cornerback Antonio Cromartie also left
briefly in the first half, holding his left wrist. Moore and Cromartie returned.
Green and Robinson did not, and Green is scheduled to undergo more evaluation
Monday. Safety Winston Guy (ankle) also left late in the game and did not
return.THEY SAID IT: Stafford on his confidence in Prater: No sweat. I knew he
would be good from 65.Luck on another slow start: Im tired of being a part of
slow starts. ... Weve got to start faster.FANTASY IMPACT: Riddick had a big day
for Detroit and even better one for fantasy football owners. He rushed seven
times for 45 yards and one touchdown while catching five passes for 63 yards and
another TD.Owners in need of tight ends in Week 2 may want to gamble on the
Colts tight ends. Dwayne Allen caught four passes for 53 yards and one TD, while
two of Doyles three catches went for TDs.---AP NFL website: and ' ' '
